Something about Gemma’s course and her website gave me the inspiration to give it a go and I wasn’t disappointed. I attended the classes without a partner which I worried might make me feel even more awkward than I did already, but you’re never alone for long, and it was lovely to meet and dance with new people. It’s a fun way to try something that can increase your confidence, self-esteem and give you new skills to boot – it’s a win-win situation! You get to use a different part of your brain, have fun and meet some lovely new people – Gemma included. The classes are a little ray of sunshine in the working week. I loved the sense of achievement at the end of each, and I’m delighted that took the chance and gave it a go!

The emphasis of the class is on having fun, meeting new people and getting hooked on Ballroom and Latin dance…but don’t be fooled as you’ll also be learning a little bit of technique without even realising it, so that you’ll become a confident dancer very quickly.
8 week course
We offer an 8-week course where you’ll learn 8 Ballroom and Latin dances so you can Quickstep and Cha-Cha-Cha your way around a social dance, wedding or work event in no time! You get to dance a mixture of Ballroom and Latin styles, and each week we’ll recap the previous class so you’ll be able to remember the steps with confidence.
4 week courses
You can also take the 8-week course in two 4-week blocks, allowing you to test it out if you’re not ready to commit to the full course, or give you some flexibility if you aren’t sure you’ll be able to attend all 8 weeks. Of course, there’s nothing stopping you taking either the first or second part as a stand-alone course, simply see which dates work for you!
